A tee is a type of pipe joint shaped like the letter 'T', making it one of the most common types of butt weld fittings and a vital accessory in piping systems. Tees come in two varieties based on the diameter of the outlets: equal tees (TS) and reducing tees (TR). Equal tees, also known as straight tees, have three outlets with the same outer diameter. Reducing tees feature a main pipe and a branch pipe; the branch pipe's diameter is smaller than that of the main pipe. Butt weld tees are typically manufactured using pipe cold forming technology or by welding steel plates.
The butt weld tee is a T-shaped pipe joint, one of the most prevalent types of butt weld fittings, and an essential component of piping systems. Depending on the outlet diameters, there are two types of tees: butt weld equal tees (WTS) and butt weld reducing tees (WTR).
