1. Nickel based alloy Introduction
Incoloy alloys are a series of nickel-based corrosion-resistant alloys of the iron-chromium family. They exhibit excellent corrosion resistance in both reducing and oxidizing acids, as well as high resistance to stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion. Commonly used Incoloy alloys in the chemical, petrochemical, nuclear, and rare metal extraction industries include Incoloy 800, Incoloy 825, and Incoloy 926.
Inconel alloys are a class of nickel, chromium, and iron solution-strengthened alloys renowned for their exceptional high-temperature corrosion resistance and oxidation resistance. They also possess superior cold and hot processing capabilities and welding performance. Due to these properties, Inconel alloys are widely utilized in aviation, chemical, paper, and other industries. Commonly used Inconel alloys include Inconel 600, Inconel 601, Inconel 625, Inconel 617, Inconel 718, and Inconel X-750.
Hastelloy alloys are nickel-based corrosion-resistant and high-temperature alloys, primarily classified into two categories: nickel-chromium alloys and nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys. These alloys possess remarkable corrosion resistance and thermal stability, making them commonly used in aviation, petrochemical, and chemical industries. Common Hastelloy alloys include Hastelloy C276, Hastelloy C22, Hastelloy B2, Hastelloy B3, Hastelloy C4, Haynes 230, and Haynes 188.
2. Hastelloy C276 Pipe Fittings
The Hastelloy C-276 alloy exhibits remarkable corrosion resistance to a wide range of corrosive media, regardless of whether they are in an oxidation or reduction state. It possesses exceptional resilience against point corrosion, crevice corrosion, and stress corrosion cracking, making it a highly versatile material. This alloy is particularly suitable for various chemical process industries that involve the presence of oxidizing and reducing media.
The elevated content of molybdenum and chromium in Hastelloy C-276 significantly enhances its resistance to chloride ion erosion. Additionally, the tungsten element further boosts its corrosion resistance, making it an excellent choice for harsh environments. Hastelloy C-276 is one of the few materials that can withstand the corrosive effects of wet chlorine gas, hypochlorite, and chlorine dioxide solutions.
Moreover, this alloy exhibits significant corrosion resistance to high concentrations of chloride solutions, such as iron chloride and copper chloride. This property allows it to be utilized in applications where exposure to such aggressive chemicals is inevitable, ensuring long-term reliability and durability.
