Nickel-Based Alloy Introduction and Incoloy 825 Pipe Fittings
1. Nickel-Based Alloy Overview
Incoloy Alloy: An iron-chromium series nickel-based corrosion-resistant alloy. It boasts excellent corrosion resistance in both reducing and oxidizing acids, as well as robust resilience against stress corrosion cracking, pitting, and crevice corrosion. In the fields of chemistry, petrochemicals, nuclear industry, and rare metal extraction, commonly used variants include Incoloy 800, Incoloy 825, and Incoloy 926.
Inconel Alloy: A nickel-chromium-iron solution-strengthened alloy with remarkable high-temperature corrosion and oxidation resistance. Additionally, it possesses superior cold and hot processing and welding capabilities. Widely used in aviation, chemical, paper industry, and various other sectors. Common grades are Inconel 600, Inconel 601, Inconel 625, Inconel 617, Inconel 718, and Inconel X-750.
Hastelloy Alloy: A nickel-based corrosion-resistant and high-temperature alloy. Primarily divided into nickel-chromium and nickel-chromium-molybdenum alloys. It offers excellent corrosion resistance and thermal stability, commonly used in aviation, petrochemical, and chemical industries. Common grades include Hastelloy C276, Hastelloy C22, Hastelloy B2, Hastelloy B3, Hastelloy C4, Haynes 230, and Haynes 188.
2. Incoloy 825 Pipe Fittings
Material: Conforms to ASTM B366 / B366M - 20, the standard specification for wrought nickel and nickel alloy fittings.
Incoloy 825: A nickel-iron-chromium alloy with the addition of molybdenum, copper, and titanium. Its chemical composition is specifically formulated to provide superior resistance to numerous corrosive environments. While similar to Alloy 800, Incoloy 825 offers enhanced resistance to aqueous corrosion.
